After penning a new Real Madrid contract with an increased release clause, defender Dani Carvajal revealed his delight as he hopes to remain at the capital club for the rest of his career.
Since returning to the club from Bayer Leverkusen in 2013, the 25-year-old has excelled and made the right-back role his own. As a result, he was rewarded with a contract extension which has now tied him to Real until 2022.
"This club is such a big part of my life so this is fulfilling a dream for me. I'm very grateful to the club," Carvajal told reporters.
"It is another great day in my life, to extend my contract with the club I love, the club that is my family. I want to win everything here."
The release clause is also so high so that nobody can take me away from here and I don't want to leave."
The release clause is believed to be around €350M.
